Booking Through Thursday: Reading Now

I haven't participated in Booking Through Thursday in a while, but the book I'm reading now is so wonderful I had to jump in.

What are you reading now? The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. (I may be the last person to discover this book!)

Would you recommend it? - Absolutely. It is tender and hilarious all at once.
And what’s next? - Shanghai Girls by Lisa See for my book club. Then, Town House by Tish Cohen.

What good book are YOU reading today?

  1. Queens of All the Earth, an ARC I'm going to review for Bancroft Press. Then, The Doctor's Lady by Jody Hedlund. :-)

  2. Shannon - I need to read Jody Hedlund's work!!

Kathy - I wish he'd write another soon. I'm almost finished and i don't want it to end. (Plus, the book makes me illustrate my grocery list!)

  3. I am a fan of Lisa See but I haven't read that one yet. You make me curious about Sherman Alexie!

  4. tender and hilarious..that is a great combination.

  5. I LOVED Shanghai Girls by See so I hope you do too! Right now I'm reading The Soldier's Wife by Margaret Leroy. I'm liking it so far, but not loving it...if that makes sense!

  6. I read Sherman Alexie's Flight and really enjoyed it. Sounds like I should check out this book too.
