All things are artificial, for nature is the art of God. - Thomas Browne

With pleasure, I camped out with friends at Caddo Lake State Park last week. The park is located in Uncertain, Texas, which, all by itself, calls out to be visited.

Also, check out my fabulous Jane Austen Book Purse, featured on my Wordless Wednesday post.

  1. This is really pretty. Hello from a fellow Texan. I've never been to Caddo Lake and didn't know about Uncertain. Love the name. I have been to Jefferson, just down the road a piece. Looks like a good time.

Hello, neighbor! Thanks for stopping by. I've been to Jefferson numerous times and love it there, too.

  5. That name makes it seem mysterious like something out of a movie. I hope you had a great time! (I'm so not a camping person anymore.)

  6. The park looks lonesome and forlorn. Now the book purse...that is another story. Can it actually hold anything other than a book?

  10. Thanks for all your comments. This was truly a great trip enjoyed by all. We were in cabins so not really roughing it too much.

And Anne B., the book purse will hold as much as a small clutch. Even my Kindle fits in it, which is sort of ironic. :)

  13. Uncertain, Texas. That's a fantastic name. Summer amusements in the off season always look a bit sad.
